The idea was born out of a research that was carried out on campus to determine the extent to which students have found their purpose and how many were involved in other entrepreneurial and developmental activities. The result of this research however showed that a larger population were towing the wrong path so this event was carefully planned to address this issues.
The event promises to be very impactful and empowering to the entire students of the University community. We have also laid down sustainability plans as well as promise a yearly reoccurrence.

We are positive that our students will catch new visions after listening to them.
We also intend to create a mentorship link for our students with these great people as part of our sustainability plan.

Winner: *One year full scholarship.*
With cash awards for second and first runners up.

*Creative Talent Exhibition*
There will also be opportunity to show case talented students to the University community thereby exposing them to a potential market for their talents.

*Trade Fair show*
Students with businesses would also be given opportunities to display for advertisement and patronage by the entire university community.

*Raffle draws*
There would be raffle draws at the event and successful students will go home with prizes such as laptops, phones, refrigerator, etc.

*Sustainability*
We plan to make this event yearly and we have also worked out partnership with *The Lift Hub* which is a TechPreneurship establishment to continue with the trainings they would acquire during the conference and also offer practical work place trainings.

*Skills Acquisition* Prior to this time, we had organized skills acquisition for a number of our students on some creative skills such as Ankara and craft etc

The CEO, La Shakara branding Co. Mr. Joseph Edet further supported us by taking 30 of our students on free branding and business development.

We have gone out of our way to bring the 1st ever Career Conference to Unical and we are headed to a blast.

REQUEST TO ADJUST THE 2017/2018 FIRST SEMESTER EXAMINATION TIMETABLE

The centre timetable committee members met on Wednesday, April 4th, 2018 to prepare the first semester examination timetable for the 2017/2018 academic session.

At the end of the meeting, a decision was taken to adjust the timetable and extend examination by one week. It therefore means that examination will still begin on 23rd April, 2018 and should end on Saturday, 2nd June, 2018.

APRIL 2018:
Mon., 23rd - Mon., 30th = Final year and years 2 - 4 examinations in education.

MAY 2018:
* Tues., 1st - Tues., 8th = all year's 2 - 4 examinations in all other programmes
* Wed., 9th - Wed., 16th = CES examinations
* Thurs., 17th - Thurs., 24th = GSS examinations
* Fri., 25th - Sat., 2nd June = year one examinations.

The shift in dates are necessitated by the following reasons;
- many students registered late due to late admission and collection of admission letters
- inadequate examinations venues
- increase in the occurrences of clashes at the examinations venues.
